Bramwell Dental Practice was founded by Alan & Lesley Bramwell in 1987 at Rose Cottage, in the centre of Harpenden where the practice remains today.
Over 30 years, Bramwell Dental Practice has established a loyal client base due to our reputation for clinical excellence and superior patient care.
It has always been, and remains, our wish to provide a safe, friendly and professional environment for our patients. We strive to offer the highest standards of care and most up to date treatments available.

Meet Our Team
Mr Alan Bramwell
Alan qualified from Guy’s Hospital Dental School in 1979 with a Bachelor of Dental Surgery with Honours (BDS Hons.) and Licentiate Dental Surgery Royal College of Surgeons (LDS RCS).
Having started his career as an Associate Dentist in Harpenden and served on various local dental committees and as a practice inspector for Denplan, in 1987, Alan set up Bramwell Dental Practice at Rose Cottage, in the centre of Harpenden where the practice remains today.
Alan is proud to have served his local community providing both NHS and private dental treatment for over 30 years with a philosophy of ethical patient focused care.
Alan has a reputation for clinical excellence and superior patient care. He practises in all aspects of dentistry with a special interest in Endodontics (root fillings) and cosmetic treatments.
Alan is particularly interested in modern technological developments in dentistry and enjoys keeping up to date with new materials and techniques. He enjoys treating all age groups and is particularly skilled helping nervous patients overcome their fear. He always puts patients’ needs first.
In his spare time, Alan enjoys spending time with his wife, Lesley and their three adult children. He supports many charities, is an avid golfer and enjoys tennis, skiing and supporting Arsenal football club.
Mr Faisal Moughal
Faisal qualified at King’s College, London with Honours. Since then Faisal has gained a broad range of experience across multiple settings.
Faisal worked as a Senior House Officer in the Oral Maxillofacial Unit at Princess Alexandria Hospital, Harlow in Essex. His role involved oral surgery procedures and dental and facial emergency trauma care in A&E.
Faisal has also spent time providing Dental treatment to vulnerable people in both a Mental Health Hospital and Prison setting.
In NHS and private practice, Faisal enjoys keeping up to date with the latest developments in dentistry and seeks to practise minimally invasive dentistry, building up teeth to replicate their natural appearance to conserve as much natural tooth wherever possible.
In his spare time, Faisal enjoys playing the saxophone and squash, as well as travelling.
Mrs Lesley Bramwell
Lesley qualified from the Eastman Dental Hospital, Institute of Dental Surgery in 1977 and Guy’s Hospital, School of Dental Hygiene in 1978. She started her career working in private practice in Central London before returning to Guy’s Hospital as a part-time tutor at the School of Dental Hygiene, while continuing to work in a private practice in Knightsbridge.
Lesley was later honoured to be appointed Founding Head Tutor at University College Hospital, School of Dental Hygiene where she taught for two years.
In 1982, Lesley started her family and moved to work in Harpenden at David Williams’ orthodontic practice.
Lesley enjoys treating all age groups, always puts patients’ needs first and has established a reputation for clinical excellence in dental hygiene.
In her spare time, Lesley enjoys spending time with her family and friends. She is an avid golfer and enjoys skiing, shopping, interior design and supporting Arsenal Football Club.
